The Reverse Osmosis water treatment process works by passing fluid under high pressure through a semi-permeable membrane.  A quantity of purified water passes through the membrane whilst rejecting contaminants are flushed away from the membrane as a reject liquid.   This technology is capable of rejecting bacteria, salts, sugars, proteins, particles, dyes, and other constituents that have a molecular weight above a certain level. The separation of ions with reverse osmosis is aided by charged particles.

Enviroflow Water Technologies offers packaged Desalination water treatment plants enclosed within an ISO shipping container for easy transport and deployment.  These plants harness a more intensive version of Reverse Osmosis water treatment technology to removed salts and other impurities from a water source to provide drinking quality output.  It is suitable for purifying highly saline ground water or more commonly seawater for island and off-shore locations.

The system can be designed with a variety of membrane types and processes to client requirements, achieving improved results in the removal of ionic particles from solution.  Low energy membranes can be designed into systems allowing for the use of lower wattage pumps to drive the unit.
